Six kindergartners-four boys and two girls-bound down the steps and out of the schoolbus door, unhindered by backpacks seemingly as big as they are.
Since their births on June 9,the McGhee children have attracted attention. They were new parents, from tough backgrounds, unsure of what it takes to raise one child, let alone six. Ro and Mia have become confident parents over the past five years. Taking advantage of the publicity that the births attracted-which included a reality show, 6 Little McGhees, that ran on the OWN Network from to the business, McGhee Carpet Cleaning, grew as quickly as the family.
The McGhee sextuplets-the first born in Columbus-are now energetic, healthy, playful 5-year-olds, about to become the subject of their second reality television series. They also have had help along the way from friends and relatives, including Mrs. What began with Ro and a portable cleaning machine has expanded to a handful of employees, two vans and an added venture into janitorial services.
The second season of the series will premiere Thursday. Their faith was rewarded. The brood— four boys and two girls — were born at 27 weeks, yet none has battled any serious long-term effects.

Both everyday folks and celebrities rallied around the McGhees. Although the family appreciated the help, they eventually had to begin to turn people away.
